About this Role
This position provides vital support to individuals facing complex challenges, creating a safe and welcoming environment for recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a strong rapport with participants, addressing urgent needs and providing a sense of security.
- Collaborate with senior staff to identify potential risks and develop effective prevention strategies.
- Facilitate daily programs and activities, including social events, morning meetings, and information groups.
- Assist participants with medication management and transportation to appointments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of residential accommodation for new admissions.
- Share relevant information to inform assessment and support individualized care plans.
Requirements
- A degree in Social Work, Youth Work, or a related field, or a minimum Diploma-level qualification in Community or Youth Services, accompanied by relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in case management for individuals facing adversity.
- In-depth understanding of trauma, mental health, and adolescent development.
- Experience working with diverse populations and awareness of cultural nuances.
- A current driver's license.
- A valid Working with Children Check.
- A current First Aid certificate (or ability to obtain promptly).
