As the Rail Systems Testing and Commissioning Manager, you will report directly to the Testing and Commissioning Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the testing and commissioning processes within your designated project area, ensuring alignment with key project goals such as safety, profitability, cost management, quality assurance, timely delivery, environmental stewardship, and thorough validation and verification.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the transition of rail systems between construction and commissioning teams.
- Leading readiness assessments with project stakeholders and client representatives.
- Creating and evaluating testing and commissioning plans.
- Taking ownership of the testing and commissioning activities for your assigned area.
- Ensuring adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory standards.
- Coordinating resources to support the testing timetable.
- Contributing to cost and schedule evaluations and updates as necessary.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A recognized degree in electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering, or equivalent technical qualifications.
- Membership in the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) is preferred.
- Extensive experience in senior project delivery roles.
- Proven ability to manage teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, including project planning from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Experience in team development and mentoring.
