Job Description

A.I.R Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Newcastle. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our site, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute site works as per client requirements, including internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and organization of parts, consumables, and equipment.
  • Client Relationships: Actively liaise with key client stakeholders to ensure strong relationships and the development of upcoming opportunities and projects.
  • Team Supervision: Provide supervisory and/or technical assistance to teams both on site and in the workshop as required.
  • Workforce Management: Set priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines, and achieve the objectives of the branch.
  • Training and Development: Supervise, train, and develop the skills of the site service team.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Complete all documentation and tasks in line with policies and procedures.
  • WHS Program: Actively support the Company's WHS program by carrying out the necessary tasks as directed by the management team and/or the WHS representatives as outlined under Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification: Mechanical Trade qualification, e.g., Fitter, Heavy Vehicle, plant mechanic.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to mentor staff and achieve productivity levels and morale.
  • Business Acumen: Experience with communicating with customers, quoting, and negotiating.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to identify and develop opportunities through building relationships with clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Equipment Installation: Experienced installation of equipment with the ability for fault finding.
  • Maintenance: Preventative/planned maintenance.
  • Industrial Experience: Experience working on industrial or manufacturing processing/production lines.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Experience with pneumatic and hydraulics equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Assembly and Disassembly: Assembly and disassembly of components.
  • Teamwork: Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Safety Focus: Strong focus and commitment to Safety with the ability to follow Policies and Procedures.
