Model Supervisor

About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced Model Supervisor to lead a team of artists in creating high-quality models for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage multiple projects effectively, delegating tasks as needed and directly leading asset modeling when required.
  2. Supervise and deliver models for CG assets, ensuring they meet the desired style and quality.
  3. Collaborate with VFX Supervisors, CG Supervisors, and Heads of Department to assess technical feasibility and implement production-friendly workflows.
  4. Bid on projects and drive overall modeling schedule, balancing artistic and productivity requirements.
  5. Aware of impact creative decisions have on project timelines and budget, willing to adjust choices accordingly.
  6. Seek expert advice or escalate when necessary.
  7. Attend relevant project meetings to promote effective communication throughout the team.
  8. Work with Heads of Department, Model Leads, and CG Supervisors to manage troubleshooting and technical efforts in pipeline workflow development.
  9. Assign project work to modeling artists based on their individual skills and strengths.
  10. Contribute to documentation for tools and processes.
  11. Test new tools and provide feedback to developers.
