Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Coordinator to provide reliable and high-standard maintenance services at our residential aged care facility in Payneham South.

About The Role
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Property Services team to maintain safe, comfortable, and well-presented environments for residents while delivering responsive and courteous customer service that supports their wellbeing and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a wide range of hands-on maintenance services including general repairs, minor plumbing, painting, gardening, and equipment upkeep.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with legislative and accreditation standards, including fire safety requirements.
  • Managing maintenance workloads, systems effectively using a tracking system to report tasks.
  • Supporting audits, providing technical guidance to staff & overseeing contractor performance.
  • Working on an after-hours maintenance service roster at agreed times.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proven experience in a comparable maintenance or facilities role with aged care experience considered advantageous.
  • Proficient in IT systems and applications relevant to facilities operations.
  • Familiarity with Test & Tag procedures; training can be provided if required.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • An approachable, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor in all interactions.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with effective time management.
  • A willingness to develop comprehensive knowledge in Facilities Management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build respectful relationships across a diverse workforce and resident community.
