Job Title: Network and Server Operations Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our team in the delivery, integration, and sustainment of secure, high-performance ICT systems in support of Defence mission planning capability.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee the development, integration, and sustainment of software, hardware, data, tools, and processes for Defence mission planning systems in fixed and deployed environments.

  • Leading and mentoring a team of technicians in the development, integration, and sustainment of software, hardware, data, tools, and processes.
  • Conducting performance reviews, setting team objectives, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of physical server and networking hardware, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Managing the development and maintenance of system configurations for Defence laptops and servers.
  • Coordinating the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of software and security updates.
  • Providing technical leadership for resolving data support issues and ensuring mission systems meet operational requirements.
  • Supporting Defence strategic networks, ensuring compliance with security and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Defence ICT environments and a passion for delivering secure, mission-ready infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of technicians in the development, integration, and sustainment of software, hardware, data, tools, and processes.

Performance Management: Experience conducting performance reviews, setting team objectives, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Strong understanding of physical server and networking hardware, ensuring high availability and performance.

System Configuration: Ability to manage the development and maintenance of system configurations for Defence laptops and servers.

Software Deployment: Coordinating the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of software and security updates.

Technical Expertise: Providing technical leadership for resolving data support issues and ensuring mission systems meet operational requirements.

Compliance and Accreditation: Supporting Defence strategic networks, ensuring compliance with security and accreditation standards.
