Job Summary

This Graduate Security Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, focusing on cybersecurity threat analysis and response. You will be part of a diverse team that values collaboration and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Track and analyze security alerts from SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Canaries, and Firewalls.
  2. Identify and assess potential threats, recommending fixes and coordinating responses with internal and external teams.
  3. Write clear reports and perform quality checks on playbooks and documentation.
  4. Build strong working relationships with peers and clients to ensure smooth teamwork and support.
  5. Help improve tools and processes while staying up to date with cybersecurity trends.
  6. Work overnight and weekend shifts as required.
  7. Rotate between roles such as Security Engineer, Security Analyst, Threat Analyst, and Intelligence Analyst over an 18-month graduate program.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A final-year student or recent graduate in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Proven leadership through work, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong presentation and client-facing skills, committed to delivering quality service outcomes.
  • A problem-solving mindset with experience evaluating security incidents and crafting thoughtful responses.
  • Self-driven learning with a passion for cybersecurity and proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
