Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. This role involves preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the needs of our residents. You will also supervise a team of catering staff, ensuring that all meals are prepared with exceptional quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook high-quality, nourishing meals for our residents
  • Ensure adherence to safe food handling and infection control procedures
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Manage stock control, replenish and order as needed
  • Supervise and provide direction to Kitchen Hands

The successful candidate must be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday on a weekly basis.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef in large-scale meal production
  • Experience in production environments
  • Basic knowledge of dietary nutrition for elderly residents
  • Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing and stock control
