About the Role

As a Senior Credit Risk Manager in our Team, you will be a key contributor in facilitating the origination of revenue opportunities in FIG Australia portfolio with a team of specialised credit analysts. You will provide guidance and direction to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose, globally consistent, and time-sensitive credit analytics for proactive management and credit decision making.

You will also provide thought leadership and delivery across the end-to-end relationship credit management process, covering Origination, Transaction Structuring, Risk Grading, Risk Analysis & Credit Approval, Documentation, Portfolio Monitoring, and Specialised Industry Research. As the first line of defence, you will ensure well-managed principles and manage credit risks within a regional portfolio.

In addition, you will represent Research & Analysis and Relationship Management teams in all Group Credit Assurance reviews and exercise credit approval discretion.

What You'll Do
  • Apply advanced credit/risk assessment skills and strong deal structuring capabilities to execute complex transactions jointly with Relationship Managers, Product Partners, and Institutional Risk.
  • Thoroughly understand clients and industries, underpinned by high-quality analysis, to capture valuable business and cross-sell opportunities within acceptable risk appetite.
  • Industry-specific research and ongoing portfolio management functions are core responsibilities.

  • Strong experience in relationship credit management across industry segments.
  • Highly advanced collaboration, relationship, networking, and communication skills.
  • Strong client focus with the capability of leading due diligence activities, negotiations, and senior-level customer engagements.
  • Strong knowledge and exposure to Risk & Compliance management, and understanding of the operating and regulatory environment.
  • Strategic mindset, highly commercial with a proven ability to balance risk/reward priorities.
  • Proven skills to lead through complexity and ambiguity while driving efficiencies and continuous improvement.
