Medical Oncologist

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Oncologist to join our team at a public hospital in Darwin, NT. As a Staff Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with cancer, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
About the Role- Provide medical oncology diagnosis, treatment, and care to patients
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of patient progress
- Participate in education and training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest medical oncology research and treatments
The hospital is a Tertiary level 3 Teaching Hospital with just under 400 beds and around 1,700 staff. It services a population of 200,000 in a catchment area including urban communities, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities.
Requirements- Registered with AHPRA and at least 12 months recent experience in Medical Oncology
- On RACP training program within 6 months of completing fellowship
- Hold or be eligible for the FRACP
- IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
- IMG's with RACP interview date
- IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable
