Radiation Oncology Opportunity in the Northern Territory

ME Medical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory. As a Staff Radiation Oncologist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team at the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre within the Royal Darwin Hospital.

About the Role

We are looking for a Radiation Oncologist with demonstrated clinical, management, research, and teaching skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting. The successful candidate will have experience with modern Radiotherapy techniques, including IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, DIBH, SBRT, and SRS.

About the Team

Our team is recognized nationally for its achievement in improving the cancer outcomes of Indigenous Australians. We work closely with Charles Darwin University and the Menzies School of Health Research on educational programs and research.

About the Location

Darwin is a peaceful and relaxing city, set in a unique tropical environment. The city offers a great work-life balance with both Royal Darwin Hospital and the airport no more than a 15-minute drive from most suburbs in and around the city.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated clinical, management, research, and teaching skills
  • Experience with modern Radiotherapy techniques
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in safety and quality improvement
  • MBBS (or equivalent) and FRANZCR
  • AHPRA Registration with the National Medical Board of Australia
  • Meet the requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Radiation Oncology in NT Department of Health
