Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality clinical governance and education support for residential facilities and home care services.
  • Promote contemporary practices across Residential facilities or Home Care services to support adherence with SCC policies and procedures, relevant standards, legislation, and accepted industry practices.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the organisation's quality management system.
  • Respond to the educational needs of Residential facilities or Home Care Services as required.
Education Design and Delivery
  • Deliver competent clinical and non-clinical education to ensure that staff are prepared to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to the professional development of care staff through coordination of education programs designed to optimise SCC's care and service delivery.
  • Develop learning experiences and use strategies that meet the individual learners' needs, including the provision of support for skills development in clinical procedures for new learners or staff being introduced to new procedures.
  • Through partnership with the Learning and Development team, develop a unit-specific education pathway/program to build the capability of staff.
  • Participate in workforce development planning and participate in the development and implementation of aligned educational plans in conjunction with Quality Manager, Sydney Residential Manager, and People and Culture.
  • Share resources, training packages, programs, and materials across care streams in consultations with the Quality Manager and Learning and Development Team and Head of Care.
Requirements
  • Current Authority to practice as Registered Nurse (Division 1), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency.
  • Current driver's Licence.
