Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meat Department Manager to join our team at our Samford store in North Brisbane. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and ensuring the smooth operation of the meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of butchers and sales assistants to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Create and manage rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize labor costs.
  • Generate and manage orders for meat products, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stockouts.
  • Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize losses.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and improve store performance.
Requirements
  • Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential).
  • Fresh food retail knowledge and experience (desired).
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with team members and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to work health and safety standards and a safe working environment.
