About the Role

We are seeking skilled Diesel Equipment Technicians to join our client, Macktec Pty Ltd, in the Hawkesbury region of NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Perform workshop repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • New machine pre-delivery preparation and inspection.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
  • Cross-functional support to ensure seamless operations.
Main Job Duties

Fault finding, repairs, and services include:

  • Tractors, backhoes, and excavators.
  • Diesel and petrol engines.
  • Diesel, petrol, and LPG fuel systems.
  • Steering systems.
  • Transmissions – hydrostatic, powershift, and manual.
  • Brake systems.
  • Hydraulic valves and cylinders.
  • Electrical starting, charging, and accessories.
  • Service and diagnostic repairs.
  • Liaise with spare parts team to determine required parts.
  • Complete repair and services within reasonable timeframes.
  • Process workshop service/repair documentation daily.
  • Work safely, use provided PPE, and comply with Occupational Safety and Health legislation.

Benefits

Competitive salary range: $65,000-$90,000 PA, depending on experience.
