We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Whittens Pty Ltd, working on a large infrastructure project in remote NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring project teams, ensuring the requirements of the quality management plan are effectively implemented, and managing in conjunction with the wider team, the scope of work, equipment and materials, and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret specifications, draft and maintain drawings and plans, construction methods and procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of the scope of work, specifications, work plans and drawings and advise on best engineering solutions to meet project needs and budget.
- Create work programs for allocated work packages.
- Manage in conjunction with the wider team, the scope of work, equipment and materials, and ensure compliance.
- Identify variations in work packages and submit list for review.
- Ensure the requirements of the quality management plan are effectively implemented to meet project requirements.
- Ensure familiarity of team members with the quality assurance manual, procedures, ITPs, test methods & reporting requirements.
- Prepare and review internal ITPs, forms & checklists for approval by Client.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Post Graduate qualifications advantageous).
- Demonstrated experience working in a FIFO capacity preferred with a Contractor.
- Underground concrete structures specialist with experience on concrete tunnel lining projects is a MUST.
- Experience with tunnel lining using DOKA or TFI travelling formwork systems.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring project teams.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
