Clinical Healthcare Leadership Position

Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacy Leader role requires a high-level professional who can provide expert guidance and leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, contemporary patient care while adhering to regulatory requirements for medication administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in complex medication management, with expertise in relevant practice standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate and maintain relationships with senior health professionals and stakeholders.
  • Application of professional judgement in providing clinical advice and direction where established principles require expansion or modification.
  • Promotion of quality improvement initiatives, including provision of clinical advice regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
  • Development of staff through facilitation and evaluation of educational activities and support for practitioner development and supervision.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Registration with the relevant Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is mandatory.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy is highly desirable.
  • Vaccination against specified infectious diseases is an essential condition of employment.
  • All applications remain valid for a period of 12 months.
