Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Airservices Australia. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and installation activities on critical air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform time-sensitive preventive and corrective maintenance, and project installation activities in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on Airservices systems.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other Airservices staff to ensure that there is effective coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives.
  • Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems.
  • Mentor and develop the technical competency of other team members.
  • Take part in the implementation of enterprise governance systems and policies, including safety, environmental, work health and safety, risk, and compliance.
  • Promote workplace health and safety and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices.

Requirements

  • Possession of relevant licencing as specified by Legislative and/or Airservices requirements, Northern Territory and Western Australia Electrical Licence.
  • Strong commitment to working in a team environment with a focus on delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Ability to develop knowledge and understanding of the policies, procedures, and legislation relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, organise, and perform activities with limited guidance, for cost-effective outcomes.
  • Ability to develop knowledge and experience performing maintenance and installation activities on electrical systems such as, power reticulation, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), standby generating sets, air conditioning control, DC power and battery systems.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • Current Northern Territory and Western Australia Electrical workers' licence
  • Current CPR/LVR
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Construction industry White Card
