Electrical Systems Specialist

About the Role:
Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Auto Electrician to join our Darwin team.
This is a Permanent full-time role based in town working Monday to Friday, 38 hours a week.
As a Site Support Auto Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
- Electrical systems diagnostics and maintenance
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical components
- Complete warranty repairs to newly delivered machines
- Identify electrical issues and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner
- Utilise diagnostic tools to pinpoint faults in complex electrical systems

About You
A successful teammate will have:
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in Auto Electrical work
- Proven experience as an auto electrician; a focus on CAT-specific diagnostic tools is a plus
- Familiarity with CAT-specific electrical components and their maintenance
- Underground experience desirable
- Ability to work on a variety of earthmoving machines, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.
- Capacity to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment, contributing to a 'No Harm' environment
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and other specialised equipment for auto electrical work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability of writing reports on diagnostics findings and repair actions
- Problem-solving abilities to tackle complex electrical issues efficiently
