We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our team in North Ryde. As a Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software applications.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and document complex information security risk assessments
- Develop and implement security processes and procedures
- Configure and deploy Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools
- Review and report vulnerability findings from SAST and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tooling
- Perform in-depth analysis of vulnerabilities to avoid false positives and ensure high accuracy of findings
- Partner with software development teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering to improve automation mechanisms
- Seek out opportunities to improve systems and reporting mechanisms
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Good understanding of application security, CVE classification system, and OWASP top 10
- Experience in program analysis, compilers, or web application security
- Ability to review vulnerabilities in open-source software written in Java, GoLang, C/C++, and Python
- Foundational skills in Python programming
- Familiarity with SCM/software version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Strong analytical skills combined with good communication skills and fluent English
- Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Prior experience in a software development role
- Knowledge and experience of security testing tools
- DevSecOps and/or CI/CD experience
- Automation experience using Python
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
