Job Description

This rewarding role as an Independent Living Disability Support Worker at VMCH offers you the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

You will work in our Independent Living house in Wangaratta, providing individualised capacity building supports to increase independence in domestic and administrative tasks.

The successful candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities and a passion for supporting them to gain skills to live independently in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Support people to develop life skills and increase independence in daily living activities
  • Provide individualised support to clients with varying needs and abilities
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure comprehensive support to clients
  • Develop and implement support plans tailored to client needs and goals
Requirements
  • Certificate III Individual Support or Certificate IV Disability (or similar)
  • Experience working in the Disability, Community or Healthcare sectors
  • Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
  • Basic level of computer and administration skills
