As a Maintenance Planner, your primary focus will be on organizing and scheduling maintenance tasks. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our equipment by delivering a cost-effective preventative and corrective maintenance service that aligns with the current and future demands of the organization.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Formulating and monitoring the planning and scheduling of both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Initiating repairs and/or procuring spare parts while overseeing inventory to ensure equipment reliability and minimize holding costs.
  • Managing documentation and reporting through the Maintenance Management System.
  • Engaging in discussions and negotiations regarding quotes necessary for the repair of damaged components or equipment.
  • Promoting safety protocols within the maintenance team, including Toolbox meetings, Work Permits, and Risk Assessments, in both trades and contractor environments.

To excel in this position, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in Maintenance Planning or as a Maintenance Supervisor.
  • A background in trades or relevant Tertiary Qualifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with maintenance management systems (preferably SAP).
  • Experience in condition monitoring will be highly valued.
  • Proven experience in a heavy industrial plant or similar production environment.
  • A strong commitment to safety and customer service, coupled with effective communication skills.
