Workshop Manager

Experience the thrill of overseeing a multi-disciplined maintenance team and driving operations across a key business unit. This pivotal role offers you the chance to enhance efficiency and ensure the smooth running of our workshop and field maintenance activities.

As a Workshop Manager, your day will involve:

  • Leading Safety Initiatives: Identify and address safety hazards, ensure safety targets are met, and maintain up-to-date safety management tools.
  • Driving Workshop Efficiency: Drive purchasing practices, oversee P&L, and handle labor scheduling. Guide and mentor personnel while ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Govern CMMS (Maximo) compliance, communicate and monitor maintenance plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and analyze maintenance reports.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor workshop personnel, including apprentices, and work with external training providers.
  • Efficiency and Planning: Enhance workshop efficiency through strategic communication and planning. Adhere to purchasing practices and manage workshop P&L.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with site management, maintenance planners, and project managers on shutdowns, improvements, and projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure documentation and timely completion of maintenance work. Monitor inventory and ensure compliance with purchasing protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote and utilize lean problem-solving tools and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**Requirements:** Relevant trade qualification or engineering degree (mechanical or electrical), desired certificate/diploma in frontline management. A car license is required.

**Key Skills:** Strong organizational and communication abilities, experience with Microsoft Office, Oracle eAM, and Maximo, and understanding of purchasing and subcontractor management systems.
