About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the cafe, including serving customers, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all patrons
  2. Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, including sandwiches, coffee, and other menu offerings
  3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cafe area, kitchen, and storage areas
  4. Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
  5. Operate the EFTPOS machine and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  6. Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning duties as required
  7. Stock fridges and freezers with food and beverages
  8. Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and operating the EFTPOS machine
