As a Clinical Supervisor in Psychology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the mental health care outcomes of young people.

The position offers a unique opportunity to provide weekly supervision to students within the headspace centre and support their placement. Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading weekly supervision sessions for students in outpost placement, providing support and secondary consultations.
  • E nsuring the clinical reporting and correspondence via headspace electronic file meets high standards and meets the needs of referring agents and other care providers.
  • Collaborating with senior clinicians and clinical educators to support the students' placement and attending meetings with the university's student coordinator to complete end of placement reviews.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold approved tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Clinical Psychology and full registration with AHPRA.
  • Be a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor eligible to provide supervision to provisional psychologists.
  • Have significant experience in mental health care, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and psychosocial interventions for young people experiencing mental health difficulties and/or substance use problems.
  • Demonstrate leadership and supervision skills, preferably in a similar context.
