The National Technical Director role is a part-time position requiring 3 days per week commitment. This non-client facing position involves working alongside the Managing Directors and Registered Liquidators within the Restructuring and Turnaround team.
Role Responsibilities:- Ensuring compliance tools, policies, and procedures remain current with Australia's insolvency laws and practice.
- Overseeing staff training to ensure continual professional development of the Restructuring and Turnaround team of insolvency practitioners.
- Managing treasury personnel supporting accounting compliance functions.
Applicants must be professionally qualified accountants (CA or CPA) with over 10 years experience in restructuring, focusing on formal insolvent administrations. Strong understanding of Australia's insolvency laws and case law, excellent communication skills, and prior technical experience with a firm of insolvency practitioners are essential requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:- Professional qualification as an accountant (CA or CPA).
- More than 10 years of experience in restructuring with focus on formal insolvent administrations.
- Membership of ARITA (Australian Restructuring, Insolvency & Turnaround Association).
- Strong understanding of Australia's insolvency laws and case law.
- Strong understanding of APES and ARITA's COPP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage a team.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior insolvency professionals.
