Resort Maintenance Technician

This is a key role within our resort, responsible for maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings. Your primary objective will be to protect our assets and ensure they remain functional, pleasant and safe environments for all guests, visitors and team members.
- Carry out general maintenance tasks as scheduled by our Property Management System (PMS).
- Perform duties including painting, decorating, minor renovations, pool maintenance, assisting with garden and landscaping work, ensuring all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
- Keep accurate records of repair and maintenance activities on plant and equipment.
- Liaise with relevant teams regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to bring out-of-order areas back into use as soon as possible.
- Report on task completion or delays that impact guests.
- Prioritise jobs to meet deadlines and handle emergencies effectively.
- Maintain the workshop in a clean and safe condition.
- Work on a shift roster basis as required.
- Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance or a related role.
- Previous experience working in hotel/resort settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating various equipment and tools.
- BASIC computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical fitness to perform required duties.
- Service-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Self-motivated and energetic attitude.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts between 6am-9pm Monday-Sunday, potentially attracting penalty rates.
