About the Role

Coles is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technology services to support, develop, and maintain the Identity and Access Management components of our IT infrastructure.

You will work closely with our Engineering Manager to ensure that our security infrastructure is aligned with our business strategy and objectives. Your expertise in security operations, authentication, and authorization will be critical in protecting our internal assets and ensuring the security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce compliance with IAM principles, including least privilege access, password management, audit logging, certificate issuance, and revocation.
  • Work with management and other personnel to identify security best practices and implement them across the organization.
  • Apply a risk-based approach to information security, covering the security aspects of Cloud and On-premise IAM services, with a focus on authentication and authorization services.
  • Be responsible for IAM security risk reduction activities using engineering and automation principles.
  • Manage incident response for IAM security events to ensure service recovery and availability.
  • Support privileged account management services, including vaulting, password rotation, and checkout procedures.
  • Perform security and data/logs analysis to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop monitoring and reporting on the health, effectiveness, and efficiency of IAM security events.
  • Perform analysis on existing user IDs to identify orphaned accounts and implement remediation plans.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field.
  • In-depth expertise in applicable IT processes and technologies, including IAM, Cloud, and On-premise security.
  • Ability to lead project design and delivery, manage difficult technical issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong self-management skills, including time management, prioritization, and adaptability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve outcomes and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
