Job Description

This role involves providing interim leadership and support to our care homes, ensuring compliance with aged care standards and championing a high standard of resident care.

You will work closely with teams to boost morale, drive quality improvements, and keep our residents at the heart of every decision.

About the Role

This Roving Care Home Manager position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee daily operations, ensure financial performance, and maintain high standards of resident care.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team made up of clinical and support roles that ensure a holistic approach to care within the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and foster a culture within the home that prioritizes resident-centric care.
  • Provide guidance and direction on quality of care and experience provided across the home.
  • Ensure timely assessments, care planning, and case conferencing occur throughout the home.
  • Develop and implement processes for regular feedback and consultation from families and carers.
  • Oversee preadmission and admission processes to ensure seamless transitions into the home.
  • Create an environment where employees empower residents to make informed decisions about their care.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be registered nurses with AHPRA registration and no restrictions or conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with key relationships.
  • A deep understanding of the aged care sector is required, including knowledge of current trends and best practices.
  • Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions.
  • Experience in project coordination and implementation is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with computerized systems used in the industry is necessary, along with a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Effective human resource management skills, including negotiation, are essential.
