Job Description:

As a skilled tyre fitter, you will play a vital role in the maintenance of heavy earthmoving equipment. This is an opportunity to take your career to the next level and be part of a dynamic team that thrives on challenges and variety.

  • Diagnose and rectify tyre, rim and wheel conditions as required.
  • Remove and replace rims and wheels, as well as tyres, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular tyre inflation pressure checks and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems.
  • Initiate actions to prevent equipment non-conformance.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and perform pre-start checks to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in mine site-based heavy tyre fitting.
  • Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of heavy earthmoving fleets is essential.
  • A valid HR drivers licence is required.
  • Proven commitment to health and safety at all times.
