Job Title: Tyre Fitter

A tyre fitter plays a vital role in maintaining the performance and safety of our heavy earthmoving fleet. As a tyre fitter, you will be responsible for diagnosing tyre/rim/wheel conditions and performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tyre/Rim/Wheel Diagnostics
    • Diagnose tyre/rim/wheel conditions as required
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Remove and replace rim/wheel to vehicles, remove and replace tyres to rim/wheel as required
  • Housekeeping and Safety Standards
    • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to Supervisor
    • Source technical information from relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer based systems
    • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non-conformance
    • Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards
    • Carrying out pre-start checks
Requirements:
  • Experience and Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in Mine Site based heavy tyre fitting
    • Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving fleet essential
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • HR drivers licence required
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
