About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Specialist to join our Business Intelligence team. As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for developing and maintaining data reporting, data management disciplines, associated processes, and delivering business-critical insights to support executive decision-making.

This role involves reflecting business needs in an accurate and timely manner while introducing new functionality and systems that enrich business intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence data solutions across the business by developing analytical reports and dashboards in various reporting platforms.
  • Driving a structured and appropriate data culture within Business Intelligence and Analytics and across the wider business.
  • Synthesizing other data sources, including customer research, competitor analysis, and market performance to augment analysis and quality of recommendations.
  • Training and guiding data consumers of all types to share knowledge and skills, helping them to self-serve and make best use of business intelligence features available.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Frequent use of the Microsoft tech stack, especially SQL Server, SSRS, PowerBI, and some SSIS experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working with the Microsoft tech stack, including writing complex SQL scripts, maintaining views, stored procedures, etc.
  • Prior experience in a data analyst, product analyst, or other analytical role, ideally within a business intelligence team.
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence, business process management, and other aspects of reporting/analytics.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services such as Azure Data pipelines, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics would be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical background and customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication/presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Technology, or other related field, or an equivalent level of work experience.

Requirements:

  • Current or prior banking experience would be an advantage.
