Wellbeing Program Coordinator

The role of a Wellbeing Program Coordinator is pivotal in assisting the programme designer to develop and implement existing and new wellbeing initiatives, as well as overseeing their operation. This includes managing volunteer mentors who support young people to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Develop and implement wellbeing programmes that positively impact participating young people.
  • Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and future staff members.
  • Implement an outcomes framework to measure the social impact of the program.
  • Provide opportunities for young people to gain community and work experience.
  • Foster relationships with community partners, government agencies, and private enterprise.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess or be studying undergraduate tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, and human services, or a science discipline. You should also have experience managing volunteers, working with at-risk young people, and demonstrating strategic thinking and analytical skills.

Requirements
  • Undergraduate tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, and human services, or a science discipline.
  • Experience managing volunteers, including recruitment, induction, training, on-boarding, and leadership.
  • Experience working with at-risk young people, including those with mental health symptomology, learning difficulties, and behaviors of concern.
  • Successful programme leadership and experience.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
