Job Title: Child Welfare Specialist
About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional who can demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver child protection services, assessing, intervening, and managing cases in accordance with legislation and practice guidelines.
- Maintain culturally appropriate working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, including children, young people, and families.
- Develop a culture of quality frontline service delivery based on collaboration, cooperation, commitment to excellence, and professional ethics.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to new and less experienced staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Engage in continuous learning, training, and professional development to ensure contemporary and evidence-based practice knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement.
This role requires a high level of cultural capability, self-directed learning regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and contribution to a culturally safe and inclusive workplace.
