Job Overview

As a casual Residential Youth and Disability Support Worker with Edmen, you will make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are living with disabilities in out-of-home care.

You will work with some of Australia's best youth service providers, empowering children and young people to live their best lives in a nurturing and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and supportive home environment for at-risk youth.
  • Empower daily living skills, including personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence.
  • Facilitate transportation to school, appointments, and community activities.
  • Promote growth and skill development within the local community.
  • Manage health needs, including administering medications and maintaining accurate reporting.
  • Deliver trauma-informed care to support youth with complex behaviors.
Requirements
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services, Disability Support Work or similar.
  • Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher).
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
  • Ability to work a mixture of day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
