Support Recovery

We are seeking a Peer Worker to join our team in a high-secure forensic mental health facility. This role offers an opportunity to share your lived experience and support others in their recovery journey.

This challenging yet rewarding position requires collaboration with consumers and staff to facilitate participation in treatment and recovery within a secure setting. As a Peer Worker, you will act as a positive role model, promoting personal recovery and sharing practical insights into recovery.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Certificate IV in Peer Work or a relevant health-related qualification, along with a combination of experience. Personal experience as a consumer of mental health services is essential, and the ability to utilise this lived experience to support others is crucial.

The Forensic Hospital provides care across the clinical spectrum, working in a multidisciplinary team to enable participation in treatment and recovery within a secure setting.

  • You will work closely with consumers to develop strategies for achieving recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals navigating the mental health system.
