Underground Mining Professional

We are seeking a skilled Underground Mining Professional to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the success of our mining operations.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering expert technical advice that supports strategic decision-making and optimises mine scheduling and performance.

Your insights will help ensure our operations run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with our business goals.

You will work closely with Mine Managers to resolve technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Deliver best practice mining engineering services and support to the mine, ensuring compliance with all safety systems and legislation.
  • Ensure the quality of Technical Services Mining delivered are fit-for-purpose and can bridge the gap between theoretical/design and practicality in the workplace.
  • Work across the ventilation and gas management space to ensure safe and compliant underground mining conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems that support effective airflow and gas monitoring.
  • Enhance the value of resources by applying relevant technology.

Awarding qualifications include:

  • Degree qualified Mining Engineer
  • Extensive operating experience in UG coal mining
  • Detailed understanding of coal mining processes
  • Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation
  • High level of planning and problem-solving ability
  • Previous experience within underground mining operations
  • Previous experience with mine planning tools
