Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bed Manager to join our Inpatient Bed Management team.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's bed allocation system.

The successful candidate will work closely with ward staff to optimize patient care and streamline bed management processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Patient Flow Management: Oversee the efficient allocation of beds to patients, taking into account their specific needs and medical requirements.
  • Collaboration with Ward Staff: Develop strong working relationships with ward staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Strategic Bed Management: Design and implement effective strategies to maximize bed utilization and reduce wait times.

Requirements:

  • A registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC registration) or relevant experience in a health improvement environment.
  • A health-related degree and evidence of postgraduate development at Level 6.
  • Evidence of specialist qualifications relevant to the area of practice.
  • PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management training.
  • Working towards Master level study.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management or supervisory qualification or experience of study.
  • Experience of leading and managing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
