Hanson Australia is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer to join our National Accounts Payable team working out of our Shared Services Centre.
This is a 6-month, fixed-term contract, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, supporting the Australian Shared Services Centre (SSC) – Accounts Payable team by ensuring governance on Regional Suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Handle and resolve suppliers' queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support compliance with policies and procedures for Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Inform and escalate any issues relating to purchase orders and suppliers' invoice processes, maintaining open lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Process invoices with strict attention to accuracy, ensuring governance, integrity, and completeness.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure supplier requests are resolved in a timely manner, maintaining a proactive approach.
- Action business requests in accordance with Hanson's policy and guidelines, following up with sites to ensure invoices are completed accurately and timely.
- Ensure governance, integrity, and completeness by following processes on problem invoices and price updating, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Monitor and liaise across the business to resolve parked/blocked invoices, ensuring efficient resolution.
- Perform suppliers' statements reconciliations, following up on missing invoices and balances, maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Review prepared reconciliations monthly and action outstanding items, ensuring timely resolution.
- Undertake clearing SAP Staging Area processes to action incomplete data, remove duplicates, and return incomplete invoices to suppliers, maintaining a high level of efficiency.
- Support the team as needed and be the back-up when required, attending to ad-hoc requests, demonstrating a strong commitment to teamwork.
- 1-2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role, with a strong understanding of AP analysis and processes.
- Experience with SAP preferred, with intermediate Excel skills and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain a proactive approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
