We're expanding our team due to increased work in commodities including metals and battery minerals. As a result, we're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Perth office.

This key role is suited for a technical leader with a successful track record in engineering leadership, team performance, and effective communication of technical solutions across diverse stakeholders.

About the Role

  • Manage and oversee engineering and design aspects of mineral processing engineering projects, including conceptual design, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering for Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, providing technical expertise, guidance, and mentorship to meet project objectives.
  • Approve and sign off on the project's engineering and design deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Functional Managers (Mechanical, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation) to ensure positive technical and schedule outcomes.
  • Work with clients to understand their requirements, develop project scopes, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, emphasizing health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, innovation, and professional development within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in discipline engineering within a mineral processing environment, with proven leadership experience. Experience in Gold, Rare Earths, or Nickel is advantageous.
  • Strong technical expertise in mineral processing principles, technologies, and equipment.
  • Successful track record of managing engineering deliverables supporting demanding project schedules.
  • Experience leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion, focusing on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing teams and collaborating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, emphasizing planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with knowledge of regulatory requirements, standards, and best practices.
