About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Civil Leading Hand to lead our roadworks and earthworks projects in the Noosa Region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of 5-10 workers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
  2. Implement Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and conduct daily pre-start meetings to address site requirements and ensure a safe working environment.
  3. Schedule, forecast, and manage materials, plant, personnel, and subcontractors to optimize project efficiency and productivity.
  4. Coordinate with our engineering team to develop and maintain project programs, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
  5. Provide regular program updates to stakeholders, including weekly and monthly progress reports.
  6. Record daily productivity targets and document delays and issues, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  7. Resolve daily site issues and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  1. Hold a current Open Driver's Licence and have reliable transportation.
  2. Have previous experience as a Civil Leading Hand, with a strong understanding of roadworks and earthworks operations.
  3. Have previous experience in earthworks, with a focus on project management and team leadership.
  4. Hold a valid Construction White/Blue Card.
  5. Hold operating tickets for desirable equipment, such as rollers, moxy, loaders, posi tracks, and excavators.
  6. Be available to work occasional Saturdays, as required.
