We are seeking a skilled Climate Change Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing climate change strategies and initiatives that support the organization's sustainability goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in climate change policy and standards, as well as experience in developing and implementing emissions reduction programs. They will also have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams across various levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement climate change strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's sustainability goals.
  • Lead and manage teams to develop and implement emissions reduction programs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize climate-related risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on climate change policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on progress against climate change goals and metrics.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of direct experience in areas related to climate change and energy policy/standards. They will have current sector experience within Heavy Industry, Mining, Oil & Gas, Cement, or Energy, where they are known for their strong track record in decarbonization, emissions, energy programs, and leading climate risk assessments.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Knowledge and understanding of climate change policies and frameworks.
  • Expert level emissions accounting, carbon accounting, and emissions modelling (GHG Protocol).
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and engage with varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Commercial /financial analysis capability and experience (NPV, Total Cost of Ownership, business case development).
