About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients. This includes developing and maintaining patient care plans, liaising with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient management, assessing patients and coordinating outpatient and inpatient treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Compliance
Comply with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses. Ensure adherence to professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
Triage and AssessmentPerform triage and assessment of Eligible Personnel presenting to the health facility. Coordinate and supervise sick parades, including triage, assessment, outpatient, and inpatient treatment.
Clinical Record ManagementManage patient clinical records in both electronic and paper formats in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures. Order and maintain clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies.
Governance and ParticipationParticipate in governance activities including clinical reviews, health surveillance, and auditing.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current Registration
Be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Post-Graduate ExperienceHave a minimum of 12 months full-time post-graduate experience within the previous 5 years in an acute care, primary health care, or military setting (or part-time equivalent).
Demonstrated AbilitiesDemonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality clinical care in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
Skills and QualificationsHold a current driver's license and possess the necessary skills and qualifications for the position.
Knowledge and UnderstandingHave knowledge and understanding of Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) codes, guidelines, and statements for registered nurses.
Ability to CommunicateHave excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
