Job Description:

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering trauma-informed care to individuals in need.

You will work collaboratively with clients, support coordinators, and other stakeholders to provide capacity-building support that promotes recovery goals.

The focus of your work will be on supporting clients to reconnect with their community and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include engaging with clients at various levels of needs, building and maintaining professional relationships, working independently, and contributing to the functioning of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans.
  • Provide psychosocial support to individuals living with mental health challenges.
Requirements:
  • Completion of or progress towards a relevant qualification in Mental Health (Certificate II/III), and/or relevant work experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and client reporting system.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender, and social inclusion.
