About the Role

As a Disability Employment Services Employment Consultant at APM, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our participants (job seekers) to transform their lives. Reporting to the Business Manager at our APM office, you will work closely with stakeholders, including employers and our participants, to deliver tailored employment solutions.

This role would also cover our outreach sites, providing a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and Secure Employment Opportunities: Work with local employers to identify job opportunities for participants and support them in securing employment.
  2. Support Participants to Become Job Ready: Help participants identify their skills and provide training and support to enhance their employability.
  3. Deliver Quality Service: Ensure that all contractual and compliance requirements are met while delivering a high-quality service to participants.
  4. Enhance Participants' Employability: Provide training and support service referrals to enhance participants' employability and increase their chances of securing employment.
  5. Develop Personalised Job Plans: Create clear employment pathways for participants through the development of personalised job plans.
  6. Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers and community groups to increase job opportunities for participants.
Requirements
  1. Eligibility to work in Australia.
  2. A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  3. A MyGovID (Standard level).
  4. Willing to complete a National Police Check.
  5. Able to pass a Working with Children Check.
  6. Available to work Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
