Role Overview

As an Employment Consultant with Acumen Health, you will play a pivotal role in securing new employer placements for candidates returning to work after injury or illness. Utilizing your understanding of the current labour market and strong networking skills, you will develop ongoing relationships with local businesses and market candidates to current and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with candidates and host employers to build and develop trusting relationships
• Identify vocational goals and barriers in finding candidates sustainable ongoing employment
• Coach candidates through potential job opportunities by providing support with resume writing, presentation and interview techniques
• Develop and grow a network of potential employers by attending networking events and employer forums
• Collaborate with Rehabilitation Consultants to ensure a smooth and supportive return to work journey for candidates
• Gather information and maintain accurate records relating to each case
• Work towards and exceeding candidate and placement KPIs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation, employment placement, labour market or a recruitment environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a passion to help people
• Resilience, self-motivation and the ability to work and thrive within a KPI environment
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable but not essential.
