Job Opportunity:

The SA Drill Core Reference Library is seeking a skilled laboratory coordinator with experience in managing data acquisition from hyperspectral machines. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and operating HyLogger-3 and -4 machines, as well as managing a consistent schedule of hyperspectral scanning.

About the Role:

This role requires collaboration and clear communication with a wide range of people, building productive working relationships. You will also be required to process digital scientific data, following instructions to produce a standardised product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a laboratory environment, including work health and safety and procurement practices
  • Process and deliver data, information and communication in a computerised environment

Requirements:

  • Forklift Driver's Certificate (LF) (National Accreditation)
  • Desirable: Licence to Operate Radiation Apparatus and Licence to Use or Handle Radioactive Material

Working Conditions:

  • Contract/term vacancy up to 2 years
  • Must have full rights to work in Australia
  • Regular loading and unloading of heavy materials, which may include low-level radioactive material
