The Role

The APS 5 Data Management Officer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing SQL queries to extract critical data from multiple relational databases, ensuring accurate monitoring of contractual performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert system advice and guidance to Supply Chain Branch, Local Site Administrators, and stakeholders.
  • Support warehousing, distribution, maintenance, and stock management activities, including monitoring and overseeing business processes.
  • Develop and administer data mining and extraction methodologies to inform high-level reporting.
  • Offer advice on performance tasking data within core commercial contracts.
  • Ensure the proper usage of Defence data assets by internal and external stakeholders.
About Our Team

The Contract Performance Team oversees data mining activities across commercial contracts within Supply Chain Branch to monitor and assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This information is modelled to provide stakeholders with a reporting framework to ensure performance figures meet expectations.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Develop and edit SQL queries to address ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Merge information from different IT systems into a single software platform.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
