Urban Landscape Development Specialist

We are seeking a qualified landscape architect to join our team as an Urban Landscape Development Specialist. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, replacing maternity leave. The annual salary is approximately $97,785.38, plus superannuation and flexible working arrangements.

The Role
The Urban Landscape Development Specialist collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure public open spaces and streetscapes in new developments are high-quality, functional, and vibrant. Using their expertise in landscape architecture, they assess and advise on landscape plans, working closely with engineers, planners, urban designers, and developers. The role also involves maintaining and updating Council's Landscape Guidelines and standard drawings.

Requirements:
We are looking for a qualified landscape architect with a strong understanding of hard and soft landscape design, construction techniques, and the ability to interpret landscape plans and construction documentation. You will bring practical knowledge of landscape planning processes in a municipal context, with a deep understanding of the subdivision process, land development, and local government planning and permit processes in Victoria.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with land developers, landscape architects, and consultants on landscape planning, design, and construction issues.
