We are seeking an experienced and skilled Professional Editor to join our team as a Hansard Senior Subeditor. This challenging role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, overseeing the transcription of parliamentary debates and ensuring the accuracy and quality of transcripts.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for editing and proofreading transcripts to ensure their accuracy, completeness, and literary quality.
  • You will work closely with a team of editors and reporters to ensure that all transcripts meet the required standards.
  • This is an ongoing position with specific leave and work time arrangements.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary package, including a maximum annual salary of $159,517, plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • Total salary inclusive of an All Incidence Allowance of $20,354.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Hansard role or equivalent.
  • Supervisor/management experience in an editorial context.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
