Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Panel Tester to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a Defence contract in Katherine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the visual inspection of Fire Indicator Panels, assessing for any damage or deterioration, and testing the panels on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS Section 6). They will also provide written reports of completed inspections and tests, highlighting areas that require rectification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visual inspection of Fire Indicator Panels for damage or deterioration
  • Testing of Fire Indicator Panels on a regular basis to ensure compliance with AS Section 6
  • Providing written reports of completed inspections and tests
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in the fire industry, inspecting, testing, and reporting on Fire Panels
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS Section 6)
  • Australian Citizenship
  • NT driver's license
  • Able to secure a Police Clearance
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
  • Live local in Katherine or willing to relocate
Benefits:

This is a permanent full-time role, working Monday – Friday (40hrs per week + O/T), with an on-call roster one week a month. An allowance will be provided for being on standby, and call outs will be paid at a minimum of 4 hours at double time.
